We can't do this on our own.

Another one of my Humanities coursework discussion postings:

If one could attribute a theme
to the history of humanity it would be this: “we can't do this on our
own”. If we just take western culture as an example, we see that
humanity has washed, rinsed, and repeated revolutions of philosophical
thought over and over again. We have gone through several micro-cycles
of chaos, adjustment, and balance.

Click on read more....
Cyclone and Satire

Cyclone:
News from Myanmar tells us of the horrible tragedy a recent Cyclone has caused. Estimates are that the death toll could exceed 10,000. Please pray for this country as they have already suffered major politcal upheaval in recent years, and the people suffer from tremendous poverty.

Satire:
Apparently FEMA can't control the weather there either. (Note: This statement will be lost on liberals.)
Contrast and comparison of the cultural propagation of Ancient Rome and America

By proud admission, the Ancient
Romans were imperialists. They believed they had the ideal
culture, and that it was their destiny to conquer and rule the world
under their system. While America has certainly been accused of
imperialism, the American way is truly different.

Doomed to Repeat History

This is a discussion posting I wrote for a Humanities course that I am taking. I decided to post it here for posterity.

I
love what I like to call “mental morsels”. I am talking about those
interesting little tidbits of information that you get when studying
subjects like this where certain elements of cultural development and
etymology are discussed. These kinds of thoughts that the mind can
savor, are some of what makes history so important to me.

- click below to read more -
SCHOOL
DAYS 1947 vs. 2007

In the past 60 years, where have we gone as a country. We've taken a bad turn from practical discipline and common sense, and gone to a new morallity that is sinking our country. The source of this is credited to a 2008 High School grraduate. God bless them and their parents!

Electing Hillary - stop the ignorance

When you interview people on the street, there seems to be a common theme occuring in regard to Hillary Clinton being elected President. When asked the question "would you vote for Hillary", most people say yes, they would vote for her. When asked why, blank stares and uninformed answers emit from people's mouths. The most common line of reasoning is "because she is a woman". We know that's not a qualification or a good answer. However, most of the time when asked why the voter thinks that's a good idea, the common theme answer is that "I dunno, it's different and edgy".

I wonder if the voters would also hire a pathological pedophile to baby-sit
their kids because it's different and edgy. That's what this line of reasoning
amounts to. We are talking about the direction of our nation and the
wellbeing of our very lives!

Click on read more for some perspective.
